Sweet Riders is a
company that my husband and I created in 2005 in order to provide
riders in Japan with professional clinics that will help them
become better riders. Over the last two years I coached for the
popular Canadian/US Mountain bike camps called the Sugoi Dirt
Series (SDS) and fell in love with
the program and its results. I wanted to start the same kind of
fantastic program in Japan, therefore; we started Sweet Riders
based on the SDS, yet geared towards Japanese riders needs and
styles.
What is Sweet Riders goal?
We at Sweet Riders want
to introduce more people, especially women, into mountain biking,
by sharing the joys of mountain biking and teaching people the
fundamentals. We hope to build participants confidence as their
skills progress, and consequently, a better sense of well-being. In
Japan's fast paced, high stress society, many people are finding it
difficult to exercise. We want to show people that by riding a
mountain bike, exercise can be fun!! With mountain biking, you are
able to do something healthy and enjoy the great outdoors all at
the same time. Japan has many sport enthusiasts and we want to
welcome them into our sport. Come out and help us reach this
goal!
