Private Lessons
Sweet Riders will offer
one-day private lessons. We will focus on improving the riders
existing skills, and adding some new ones. These private lessons
will consist of instruction in the morning, a lunch break, then a
guided instructional trail ride in the afternoon. A typical day
will begin at 8:30, lunch at 12pm, then a ride from 1-3:00pm. The
cost is ¥11,000 per person including insurance.
Women's Only Clinics
These clinics will cater to women only in order to build girl power. It is amazing to be able to feel the magic of learning and trying new skills with your female peers. Believe me, I have felt the magic and love spreading the word. Get your girlfriends together and book a clinic today. You won't regret it!
We will focus on skills such as neutral position, ready position, bike body separation, straight line riding, climbing, descending, braking, shifting, basic front wheel lifts, 1/4 punch front wheel lift, manuals, slow speed cornering, switchbacks, wheelie drops and if time permits, high speed cornering.
For a day clinic, a typical day would look like this; 8:30-12:30 instructional skill work, 12:30-1:30 lunch break 1:30-3:30 an instructional group ride. For a two-day clinic it would look like this; Saturday from 8:30-12:30 we will have 3 skill sessions, 12:30-1:30 a lunch break, 1:30-3:30 an instructional group ride, 5-6pm a BBQ dinner,6-6:30pm prize giveaways, 6:30-7:30pm a maintenance session, 7:30-8pm sign up for the Sunday's skill sessions. Sunday from 9-12 we will work on the skill sessions chosen by the riders, 12-1 a lunch break, 1-3pm an instructional group ride, 3-3:30 evaluation form filling out time. Then it is time to close the camp and say good-bye until the next time!!
Prices will vary depending on the number of people and if it's a one or two day clinic. For example, for a day clinic; 2-3 people ¥6000, 4-6 ¥8000, 7-10 ¥6000. For a two-day clinic, including one night's accommodation, a BBQ, two days of instruction and group rides, and prizes from sponsors; 2-3 people ¥25000, 4-6 people ¥20000, 7-10, ¥18000. All prices include insurance. These prices are for our Aokiko/Hakuba location, if another location is desired the prices may increase.
Co-ed One-Day Clinics
These clinics will cater to individual riders skill levels. They will introduce the fundamental skills of mountain biking going at a pace that is suitable to the group. We will focus on things like neutral position, ready position, bike body separation, straight line riding, climbing, descending, braking, shifting, basic front wheel lifts, slow speed cornering, and switchbacks. Then, we will end it with an instructional group ride.
A typical day would look like this 8:30-12:30 instructional skill work, 12:30-1:30 lunch break 1:30-3:30 an instructional group ride. Locations are Aokiko, Omachi, Hakuba or Matsumoto in Nagano Prefecture.
Prices will be ¥6000 per person including insurance with a minimum of 5 per group.
Co-ed Two-Day Clinics
These clinics will cater to individual riders skill levels and will include an opportunity for riders to choose some skills they would like to spend a little extra time on. Learning in a group is fun and riders are great for supporting each other!
We will focus on skills such as neutral position, ready position, bike body separation, straight line riding, climbing, descending, braking, shifting, basic front wheel lifts, 1/4 punch front wheel lift, manuals, slow speed cornering, switchbacks, wheelie drops and if time permits, high speed cornering.
